Boxing Day at Eastleigh (2) - 26 December 2016

Commonplace at the moment, the Class 66 is possibly the most photographed type in recent UK railway history but one day it will be no more. In common with many others, I play my small part in recording the many variations within the class and the changing appearance of individual locomotives. On Boxing Day 2016, Eastleigh was actually a little disappointing but a kind afternoon light enhanced the appearance of three stabled GBRf locomotives, (from camera) 66778, 66704 'Colchester Power Signal Box' and 66712 'Peterborough Power Signalbox'. 200_2_P1140640C

On Boxing Day 2016, Eastleigh was actually a little disappointing but, as a substantial team of rail workers carried out maintenance in the background, a kind afternoon light enhanced the appearance of three stabled GBRf locomotives, (r-l) 66778, 66704 'Colchester Power Signal Box' and 66712 'Peterborough Power Signalbox'. 200_2_P1140633
