The quiet Common Barn Lane, no more than a broad path, separates the newer and older parts of Lee on Solent. It is conveniently and topically about 2m wide and provides for both exercise and a route to the nearest shop. The trees on the Cherque Farm side of the path have been heavily polled but provide convenient roosting points for the many wood pigeons which frequent the area.
