Northern Class 158 dmu 158859 makes a flying start with the 1153 departure to Doncaster. The shot is very ordinary but affords a view of part of the imposing trainshed at Hull Paragon station, a welcome sight in an age when so many stations have been, in one way or another, stripped of their character and their architectural heritage impaired or obscured. 200_4_P1030702E

Equipment and colour schemes come and go and, one day, my photographs, amongst thousands of others, might be a valuable source of reference. To take some of these photographs requires some motivation which is not immediately forthcoming from South West Trains which I find unremittingly dull in spite of the outwardly bright and clean appearance.
