As the evening light faded over Toronto, a significant police presence outside the Rogers Centre provided traffic control during the White Sox game. Westbound Bremner Boulevard was closed with traffic diverted a little further south. Many of the assigned vehicles were the inevitable Crown Vics. TZ30_P1050677CE

With the Ford Crown Victoria an almost inevitable sight wherever one goes in America, one can only record the different operators. This Riviera Beach Police vehicle was in the Publix parking garage in Riviera Beach. 200_2_P1080494E

Palm Springs Pride 2015 was a very happy event made so in part by effective but low-key policing as crowd and traffic control were managed with a light touch. The mission statement of the Palm Springs Police reads: "The men and women of the Palm Springs Police Department, empowered by and in partnership with the community, are dedicated to providing professional, ethical, and courteous service to all." and, in one of the great holiday destinations of the US, whether at special events or routinely, this appears to be fulfilled. Most of the police vehicles were concentrated at Amado Road, the parade end, but this Ford Crown Victoria was at Tachevah Drive, the parade start and access point for some participants. 200_2_P1070716

These Palm Springs Police vehicles were in attendance at an accident scene on S Sunrise Way. The Ford Taurus is seen with a Community Service Officer Crown Victoria. A third car blocked the northbound route from E Ramon Road while officers worked to clear the road quickly. 200_2_P1010277C

The Ford Crown Victoria is ubiquitous in Canada and the USA and can look extremely dull in some colours. This RCMP example, seen at Terminal 1 of Toronto Pearson Airport, looked rather smart though with its Canada and Mountie silhouette decals. 200_2_P1010269C

Although the San Juan building behind the Puerto Rico Policia Estatal Ford Crown Victoria looks fairly nice, the building opposite is deserted and attracts some unwanted attention. The officers were dealing with such an instance. The car is marked 'Tourist Police' on the side of the boot (trunk). 200_P1010163
