As my followers will know, I usually go to great lengths to exclude people from my photographs. However, they are the intentional subject of this picture. Cross Country Trains Class 170 Turbostar 170518 has just disgorged this number of passengers at Stansted Airport from only two cars. This says something about the popularity of public transport to the airport as well as the formations considered acceptable by operators. TZ30_P1040919CE

This shot is as much about my attempts to improve my night photography as railways as such but I enjoyed my ten minutes watching trains at Stansted Airport station. On the right is CrossCountry Class 170 Turbostar 170523 awaiting departure with the 1821 to Birmingham New Street whilst the bright lights on the extreme left nearly disguise the Class 379 Electrostar about to move off with the 1815 Stansted Express service to Liverpool Street.
