The New Life of M67 - 24 July 2020

Whenever the opportunity arises, I use my travel experiences, several cameras and a decent memory to tell a story. This photograph should be viewed in conjunction with my short series of five from 9 July 2015 when I first saw the retired Metrobus M67 near Altarnun on the A30 in Cornwall. The Altarnun address is used online but the actual site is closer to Trewint. I am delighted to say that Charlie Browns Diner has been in operation for about two years. If you read my notes from 2015, you will see that the owner's early thoughts were to attach a catering trailer to the side of the stationary bus. In the event, all the facilities, including upstairs seating, are within the original vehicle. I had a nice chat today with lovely people and wish them well. TZ70_P1020516

The Future of M67 (4) - 9 July 2015

My short series today brings an interesting story (I hope) to bus enthusiasts. This ex-London Transport MCW Metrobus M67/WYW67T is today a long way from its former haunts as it sits on land at the rear of a disused petrol station near Trewint on the A30 in Cornwall. It is reported to be driveable but has a future as a themed diner ahead of it. The plan is to attach the catering trailer seen behind it to the nearside where, it appears, an aperture has already been prepared. The modified vehicle would subsequently remain stationary. I am grateful to the owner of this site for access, permission to photograph and for an interesting chat about lots of things including his former employment at Aldenham. 200_2_P1050827
