Rail Replacement Services from Havant (6) - 3 Dece…

03 Dec 2017 2 251
Sunday 3 December 2017 saw an extensive programme of rail replacement services, involving several operators, run from Havant station as trains did not run between Southampton and Havant or Havant and Barnham. The many vehicles involved did include some in Stagecoach corporate colours but the only vehicle of that company I captured in my short visit was this ADL Enviro 400 bodied Trident 2 19881/GX11AKF in South Downs Connection scheme. It is waiting at the station to operate to Barnham. Seen behind is Brighton & Hove 632/YN04GKE, an East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD OmniDekka. 200_3_P1040061R

Sunday 3 December 2017 saw an extensive programme of rail replacement services, involving several operators, run from Havant station as trains did not run between Southampton and Havant or Havant and Barnham. Shortly after I photographed Xelabus Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL 530/LX53AZU by itself, it was joined by a representative of local rival Wheelers in the form of their East Lancs Olympus bodied Scania N230UD 9423RU, the pair making a colourful sight together on a dull day. They were waiting in Market Parade outside Havant Park. 200_3_P1040047

Sunday 3 December 2017 saw an extensive programme of rail replacement services, involving several operators, run from Havant station as trains did not run between Southampton and Havant or Havant and Barnham. I am always pleased to see an Xelabus vehicle and the company was represented by Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL 530/LX53AZU. Seen in here in Market Parade, outside Havant Park, it was assigned to Southampton duties (via Swanwick, Fareham and Cosham). 200_3_P1040046

Sunday 3 December 2017 saw an extensive programme of rail replacement services, involving several operators, run from Havant station as trains did not run between Southampton and Havant or Havant and Barnham. The first buses I saw on my arrival in Havant were a long way from their Poole base and, I presume, the standby vehicles as others were more active. With space in the station forecourt limited, Go South Coast (Wilts & Dorset) UNIBUS branded Alexander Dennis 400MMCs 1624/HF66CDZ and 1628/HF66CEN were in Market Parade. 200_3_P1040053C
