I was not expecting to see a giant cock in Betws-y-Coed and I have no idea of the significance of this piece outside the shops adjacent to the station. It was very busy and it was quite an achievement to get a pedestrian and vehicle free view. P1180332

The crowd joining the 1524 from Betws-y-Coed to Llandudno on this summer Saturday was substantial. I do not normally care for such busy shots of trains but my planned departure shot of Arriva Trains Wales [Trenau Arriva Cymru] Class 150 dmu 150262 was spoiled when the woman seen here (right) photographing her group handed the camera to a man who stood next to the train to take another photograph.
