Kings Cross is as about as cluttered as any station these days so I decided to turn the potential obstructions to my advantage. Here, locally stabled Class 67 Thunderbird 67016 is framed by a gantry as a shot almost directly into sun creates a pleasing effect on the locomotive roof. 200_2_P1020492

It's not what you'd expect from more competent railway photographers but this view of Class 67 67016 at Kings Cross is my attempt to defy both sun and obstacles in a modern railway scene. The locomotive is a so-called Thunderbird provided to assist failed EC sets. 200_2_P1020488
