Changes at Clovelly Road (7) - 26 August 2018

I was sad to learn that the quirky and varied fleet of Southbourne based Emsworth & District was to cease operating which it finally did on 31 July 2018. By Sunday 26 August 2018, many vehicles had been disposed of but several were still to be seen at the rather spread out site at Clovelly Road. Interestingly, this Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLF Y461JAE, now devoid of titles, carries legal lettering (marked as a note) for the new entity Portsmouth City Coaches Ltd. which will trade as Emsworth Buses.

One Way or Another - 12 July 2016

The Xelabus fleet is difficult to follow as plates and fleet numbers change frequently. Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart SLF 402/H9XEL was pictured eastbound on Pound Tree Lane, Southampton and, a few minutes later, westbound on the same road as it ran just ahead of the Zany Zebras parade [qv].
The registration was previously seen on a Dart with fleet number 409 and the name Patricia and another with fleet number 407, so I assume this is a different vehicle. Any confirmed information would be welcome.

Stokes Bay Bus Rally (19) - 2 August 2015

Two ageing vehicles from First at the Stokes Bay Bus Rally were East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Trident 32707/W707PHT and Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SLF 40957/S372SUX. The Darts are now disappearing in Hampshire as Streetlites dominate with the Wright Eclipse Urban and Optare Solo SR but the Trident is likely to remain in service on the CEMAST shuttle for a while longer with sister bus 32708.

Metroline DC1548 at Heathrow - 3 March 2014

I do not feel exactly compelled to photograph the numbingly tedious redness of London's buses today but part of me (the documentary photographer part) says I should play my part in creating the record of changing types and operators. Metroline DC1548/LK03NFZ, seen at Heathrow, is a Caetano Nimbus bodied Dennis Dart SLF and is former First DMC41511.
