More than four years after my last visit to the Great Central Railway, it was worth braving persistent rain to provide an updated document of the state of preservation at Loughborough Central. In this view British Railways Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 73156 (also pictured earlier in this series) is being moved by Class 08 0-6-0 shunter 13101. 200_3_P1090001CE

Another view at Loughborough shows how exciting the locomotive collection on the Great Central Railway is. The sole steam example in this picture is (far left) BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 92214 with Class 45 D123 in front. Class 31 D5830 is seen in rare 'Golden Ochre' livery with Class 20 D8098, Class 08 13101 and Class 10 10119. 200_P1040633
