A very friendly and approachable Black-headed Gull on the footbridge over the channel connecting the Roswell Pits nature reserve to the river Great Ouse.

One of several surviving ponds from the former sugar beet processing plant on the edge of Ely. A rare visitor from North America, a Green-winged Teal, had been present here the previous week, but unfortunately it did show itself on the day despite waiting for several hours :/
