A rare combination of clear skies and a full moon rising in the east made for a nice subject this evening, and there were a number of photographers gathered in Roker to capture this. I am sure there will be many better pictures than this on social media etc.

The front of the National Glass Centre illuminated at night. This picture was taken shortly after the removal of a large number of iron panels that had hung in front of the building. The Glass Centre hosts an exhibition on glass making in Sunderland, glass sculpting courses, art exhibitions and a very popular café.
