Crater Lake gets so much snow that I am standing atop 6-8 feet of it covering the view point at the Rim Village.

Mount Thielsen, or Big Cowhorn, is an extinct shield volcano in the Oregon High Cascades, near Mount Bailey. Because eruptive activity ceased 250,000 years ago, glaciers have heavily eroded the volcano's structure, creating precipitous slopes and a horn-like peak.

A very unusual cold wet spring left the walkways buried under 6-8 feet of snow. Captured near the rim village.
