Our Motorhome at a Christmas Tree Farm, Maine
05 Apr 2025 |
|
We wanted to see Maine, so we drove up from Massachusetts. We read about a Christmas Tree farm that welcomed temporary visitors. Here we are parked overnight (no electricity).
The next day, our hosts were very kind and gave us breakfast and sent us on our way. Next stop: Bar Harbor.

We were driving in the area of Acadia National Park. After visiting a famous lighthouse, we got to the parking lot, and looked up into this dangerous-looking sky.
Yep, it rained.

The Cruise Ship Maasdam at Bar Harbor, Maine
05 Apr 2025 |
|
Very atypical of us, but we were NOT on a cruise. We were visiting Maine in our motorhome, and stopped for a few days in Bar Harbor. This town is popular with cruise lines, hence the ship anchored in the harbor.
The rock formations of the harbor are interesting, a feature often applied to the entire coast of Maine.
The folks in the foreground are probably crew members, not cruise passengers or idle tourists like ourselves.
This photo was taken in 2011. Over the next few years, we took several cruises on the Maadam. I believe that she has been recently sold.
