Saw this remarkable bit of architecture in Cartagena, Spain, during our visit in 2013 on the Maasdam. The city area near the pier has some amazing buildings, some of which are in Art Noveau style. Ice tea, lit up by the beautiful sun of Maui. Taken on our lanai (front porch) which overlooked the Pacific Ocean. This was actually a lens test. I used the Nikon D50 we had at the time, but attached a non-automatic Nikkor 50mm F1.4 "classic" lens. I'm still using that manual, fixed lens for some activities, even though I don't have a Nikon camera any more. The sharpness is remarkable. Yes, that was our view from our living room and lanai, enjoyed it for 9 years. (The string you see over the fence was fishing line placed to keep the birds off of the barrier.)
