Taken in Auckland Harbour. This bitt was apparently installed in 1952. The rust color looks very interesting. Image processed with GIMP.

Taken from our cabin on the cruise ship. I had to set the camera into panoramic, in order to get in the entire view. Auckland Harbour. Image processed with GIMP.

Auckland Harbour View

28 Jun 2024 9 1 256
We could see lots of action in the Auckland Harbour. Here we have a tug positioning a container ship, near the container crane. In the foreground, there are lots of cars that just arrived, and some containers sitting around. Image processed with GIMP.

We had just arrived onboard the Prinsendam for a Mediterranean cruise, when we saw this waterspout in the distance. Had never seen one before.

Luna Park at Night (HFF)

12 May 2020 41 25 812
We were entering Sydney Harbor at night, and the sights were remarkable. The illuminated sign for Luna Park is famous, and well worth a picture. (Some people thinks it's kinda creepy) For the Sunday Challenge, this is very definitely a "type" of architecture. Note the towers on the sides of the face, they look very much like the Chrysler Building in New York. Taken with the Nikon D700 at high ISO. Hong Kong at Night

26 Jan 2020 7 5 708
Every time we've visited Hong Kong, the night views have been spectacular. In the old days, it was incandescent bulbs, then neon. Now, vast amounts of LED's (and lasers) light up the night sky. This is an example of the very good high ISO capability of the Panasonic GX85. More night photos at: swansongrp.com/P/p/night_narrative/index.html
