We've had the pleasure of seeing a number of "green flash" events, including my wife having seen a "green flash sunrise". Most of the time, we were unable to photograph these events. In this case, we were crossing the North Pacific in October 2016, and had our cameras ready. For the Sunday Challenge, I figure that there is a LOT of fluid in the photo, primarily the Pacific Ocean.

We had some spectacular sunsets during our visits in Quartzsite. I was taking sunset shots, when the paraglider flew overhead. I was able to wait until they were in the frame for this shot. The scenery was beautiful around Albuquerque, when we attended the 2015 Balloon Fiesta. This is just one sunrise that we enjoyed. See: swansongrp.com/P/p/air_narrative/balloons

The sun was blasting through the clouds around Haleakala, to spray its crepuscular rays around, while the palm trees swayed in the trade winds. In other words, another beautiful day in Paradise (Maui).

We stayed out during our safari, until it got dark (more animals around then). While waiting for the sunset, I got this shot through a tree. In my mind, this is a "typical" view of the African veldt. Image processed with GIMP.

The days around this photo op were marred by a lot of clouds in Quartzsite. However, the clouds helped make the sunsets and sunrises quite spectacular. Here are some crepuscular rays, the mountains near Quartzsite, and the clouds lit up. Taken with the Panasonic GX85 and processed with GIMP.
