Happy Bench Monday, everyone!

Along the Arno River, downstream from the city, on a misty winter morning. I liked how the mist softened colors and made for a perfect background for the tree silhouette. In the Pip: people (and a dog) take morning walks along the river despite the humid weather; in the distance, almost hidden by the mist, the newly refurbished pedestrian bridge that connects the Isolotto area to the Cascine Park.

Morning comes to my neighborhood, lighting up the skylight of a building in front of my window. Yes, I know, it's not the Louvres Pyramid, but it is the closest I will probably ever come to an "early bird catches the pretty light" shot :D Seen large on black makes for a pretty weird effect ...!

Technicians setting up an exhibit in Palazzo Strozzi's courtyard. I liked the contrast of white and golden lights and the spherical reflections of the courtyard colonnade.

Took this a few years ago as I walked through the old downtown streets and alleys of my hometown in northern Italy. The mountains visible in the distance are the Veneto PreAlps. HFF everyone!
