My yesterdays walk in the Lake District looking over Loughrigg Tarn to the Langdales. The Langdale Pikes: Pavey Ark, Thunacar Knott, Pike of Stickle, Harrison Stickle. Seen from the surrounding hills Pike of Stickle is an instantly identifiable lump on the high ground above Langdale.

The Langdales from Bow fell. Great Langdale is a valley in the Lake District National Park in North West England, the epithet Great distinguishing it from the neighbouring valley of Little Langdale. Langdale is also the name of a valley in the Howgill Fells, elsewhere in Cumbria.
