CSA Airbus A330-323X, Letiste Praha Vaclava Havla,…

Although to the best of my knowledge this is CSA's only wide-body, heavy jet right now, it has made a certain amount of headlines since its introduction early last year. I was hoping they would use it for flights to Kennedy, like they did with their earlier heavy jets, but so far I haven't had my wish. On this trip, which descended into a fiasco almost immediately, I had to fly via Frankfurt and Toronto, and couldn't get any airline to fly more directly to Syracuse or Kennedy.

Here's the nose, with a very early CSA logo on it.

Here's a frontal shot. Getting all of the wings was difficult with the cameraphone.

I first saw this plane a number of years ago, but didn't get around to photographing it until 2012, when I was thinking of doing a CSA repaint for the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 DC-3. I never got around to the repaint project, but I decided to post these research shots as they stand reasonably well on their own. At least...I think they're decent for cameraphone shots from a day when the weather wasn't ideal.

CSA A320 in the Snow (FS2004)

The most popular Airbus A320 for FS2004 is produced by Project Airbus. However, the Project Airbus A320 is riddled with a number of bugs, and while all but one of these are easily fixable, one is not. Namely, attempting to use it for an AI crashes FS2004. Therefore, AI Aardvark, maybe my favorite FS2004 developer, has produced this low-poly, bug free, generic (nonspecific-variant) A320 for AI use. In order to produce a wide range of AI aircraft that are still flyable (I figured out how), I have perhaps done more repaints of AI Aardvark's A320 than of any other FS2004 aircraft (original liveries include United, Lufthansa, and British Airways, among others, but these aren't enough for even one airport). This is my modern CSA (Czech Airlines) A320 repaint, taking off, appropriately, from Prague Ruzyne.
