This was another thing that I forgot to upload earlier, of what looks like a substation of sorts, or maybe it's too small to qualify as such. I'm not an electrician. The tower on the left is what until recently always served the purpose of converting and distributing power in a rural community or neighborhood, but this was the first time I saw one taken out of use and replaced by the simpler-looking arrangement on the right. It's not as pretty, though.

This was the river Sembera, which passed under the street that took me into town. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the street name on a map.

I had to enhance this photo considerably to get it to look right. I took it with my cameraphone, since the film that I had in my Nikon N80 wasn't fast enough to get it. This ivy (I'm assuming that's what it was) was growing on a wall between the village and the railway line, on a very narrow street without the light that I really needed.
