This isn't the best photo that I got on the day I was in CDG, but it's the only one I have developed right now. This is the one and only Airbus A380 that Air France currently operates, which makes it the largest airliner in service in the world (unless some other airlines have received deliver of their A380's). This plane was significant enough so that the flight crew made an announcement on our A330 that it was coming, so I finished the roll of film with this shot. Once I develop the next roll, I'll have better shots.

A much more common locomotive in the yard that day was this 742 Class, which was sitting outside a different locomotive shed.

These locomotives were across the yard at one of the locomotive sheds (Kralupy has more than one), and if the scan had been better (I didn't do this roll of film myself, but had a crappy photo lab handle it), I would be able to read the numbers, but that will have to wait until I get around to rescanning the photo myself. In any case, these are "bespectacled" diesels, and because I can't read the number I don't know if they're original or rebuilt.

I just liked the composition of this shot. I'm not sure if the exposure could have been better, particularly in the background, but as it is I still like it.

Sitting next to the Kostel Nanebevzeti Panni Marie, almost unknown, is this building with art nouveau murals along the roof.

I took this walking back towards the station. If you look carefully, you'll notice this is the same street as in the other Fall colors photos, only facing the other direction.

I doubt this factory was originally a polymer factory, but that's what I understand it is now. I just like the 19th-Century (early-20th-Century???) architecture on it. I've forgotten the company name. Does anybody know any more of the history behind it?

Built in 1893, after a 15-year delay due to lack of funds, this church is constructed in the neo-Gothic style, and fooled me easily enough. There are some genuine Gothic churches in Bohemia that actually look less authentic.

Here's another shot from roughly the same place which I enhanced the saturation on somewhat.

This was a small park near the station (nadrazi), and since it was around November when I visited, the leaves were changing for the Fall.

I'm not aware of the year that Nadrazi Kralupy nad Vltavou was built, but it looks very much like it's from the 1960's, inside as well as out. It's still quite a busy station, being on the mainline between Prague and Dresden.

House of the Black Madonna, Prague, CZ, 2009

Perhaps the most famous cubist building in Prague is the House of the Black Madonna, seen here, which was designed by the famous architect Josef Gocar, who one of my friends is related to. It took about a year to build between 1911-12, and the "Black Madonna" actually refers not to the statue seen here, but to a Madonna statue which adorned the Baroque building which preceded it. Initially a department store, it is now home to the Grand Cafe Orient and a few upscale shops.

Ungelt is a courtyard of sorts, but for multiple buildings, so it's not technically a courtyard as such. It's in the old town of Prague, not far from Staromestske Namesti and the Tynsky Chram, and is now home primarily to restaurants.

Built in 1750 to replace an earlier one destroyed by fire which dated to 1358, this church is now a protected national historic site.

This was another thing that I forgot to upload earlier, of what looks like a substation of sorts, or maybe it's too small to qualify as such. I'm not an electrician. The tower on the left is what until recently always served the purpose of converting and distributing power in a rural community or neighborhood, but this was the first time I saw one taken out of use and replaced by the simpler-looking arrangement on the right. It's not as pretty, though.
