This was one of several shots that I took of the sunset over the Rybnik, or pond. I've been unable to find a name for this pond other than the generic one.

This is the Stepnicky Rybnik, although the ice is so covered with snow that it isn't obvious that it's a pond.

This was the next place that I reached with my bike that I took a photo of. This pond was almost completely pea green, but unfortunately the crappy cameraphone didn't pick it up. When I cranked up the saturation in Gimp I managed to get it to be slightly more realistic, though.

I thought that with the pale lighting and paradoxically high contrast of Picture 7, I could do something with a black and white conversion, too.

And this shot shows how the leaves were already changing even though it was still August.

One of the weirdest things about this photo shoot that I didn't discover until I got the film developed and the scans into Gimp was that the shots towards the mill had such different lighting that they now look like they were taken on a different day, possibly in the rain.

I liked this shot too.

While post-processing the first shot of the pond, I accidentally discovered this artistic treatment in Gimp. I hope that you like it.

The rybnik, or pond feeding the mill is nowadays heavily stocked with fish, so much so that you can hear them breaking the surface. Fishing was forbidden on the day that we were there, however, because (from what I understand), some maintenance work was being done somewhere.
