Horovice, while not a very old station as far as I know, is more or less steam-era station, and has most of its steam-era features preserved. Even better, it has far fewer broken windows and far less graffiti than the typical station, of any age, in the modern Czech Republic.

This was our train back to Prague, appearing in the low light (and slow shutter), to be racing through the station. It wasn't, of course.

This really crude outdoor sink is another steam-era feature of Nadrazi Horovice (a modern station would have a proper drinking fountain). It's looks a bit gross to drink out of, though, even if the sign seems to say that it's alright.

The "Dopravni Kancelar," or "Transport Office" in a Czech railway station is the freight and management office, if I'm not mistaken, rather than the ticket office. Usually the ticket office will be marked "Jizdenky" or "Tickets."

One of the steam-era features of Nadrazi Horovice is this security cage (I shot through the chainlinks), which includes an old-fashioned luggage scale.

Instead of doubling back through Jince for our return to Prague, we had one of our friends drive us to Horovice, which was easier from the pub we were at (he hadn't been drinking).
