A number of express trains don't stop in Hostivar, so I've been able to get quite a few action shots there. The snowy days are the best, though, since powdered snow exaggerates the sensation of speed.

There's also a lot of freight traffic through Hostivar, mostly consisting of container trains. The next stop south is actually Urineves, which has an intermodal facility.

Although a large number of trains, including expresses, stop at Hostivar, and there's some freight switching action, too, there are also plenty of expresses that don't stop, and plenty of through freights, allowing for pan shots, albeit at modest speeds. Here's #163019-3 with a container freight.

It's also possible to pan arriving passenger trains at Hostivar if you get lucky or know roughly where they'll stop. In general, Hostivar offers a pretty wide and unobstructed view of the tracks, at least for the moment. Subsequent corridor upgrades may change this, but for the moment the station still looks like this.

When I finally arrived in Litomerice Hlavni Nadrazi, I did manage to get a nicer parting shot of my train than usual, as it didn't pull out immediately.

Here my train was pulling in to take me the rest of the way to Litomerice, with 163075-5 on the point.
