Jon Searles' photos with the keyword: Ektar

This is my favorite shot of the bunch, especially since it's one of the few shots that seemed to escape the scanner trouble that I've been having. This was taken in Cercany. I mainly like the vivid colors in this one, which may be down to the fact that I was shooting Ektar through an uncoated Zeiss lens.

If I'm not mistaken, I was standing in the hamlet of Pysely when I took this, looking into Cercany. That's the sign indicating the village limits.

This was taken from the same bridge as shot 3, but in the other direction.

This isn't the most colorful shot that I took, but the foggy scene and strange colors convinced me that this is also a shot that I want to share. If I'm not mistaken, this was really how it looked, although I didn't note it at the time. This wasn't from the pedestrian bridge, incidentally. It's in the distance in this shot, and I'm actually on a road bridge. The water is much calmer here because of a dam further downstream by the pedestrian bridge.

For this shot I switched to Ektar. I liked the results, and in fact right on the heels of shooting my best ever (from a technical standpoint) black and white roll with the Ikoflex, I went on to shoot my best ever color roll. I like this shot, but I don't know if it's my favorite. There's another shot further on which I like more.

9156 is a Skoda 14t, which makes it the most modern class of tram currently in service in Prague, but not for long. Two Skoda 15t's, #'s 9200 and 9201 are already in testing, and I've spotted 9201 several times already. That church in the background is St. Ludmila's in Namesti Miru.

This is a considerable edit of a larger shot. 8701 is another Tatra T6A5.

I was sitting in an Italian/Greek restaurant on Korunni and I discovered that it wasn't a bad tram watching spot. Nothing exotic showed up by Prague standards, but I generally like Prague trams. 8667 is a Tatra T6A5 built around 1996.

My family know that I shoot mostly film (at least for display), so it was natural that I would get a lot of film for Christmas, although the roll of expired Fujicolor Superia 1600 there was sitting in a drawer for a couple of years until I got around to shooting it on the Prague Metro. It's in my Nikon now, with one shot to go. I'm hoping to finish it today and get it developed immediately, so that I can have my second set of Metro shots ever committed to film (the rest are cameraphone shots). The Plus-X is at the lab, after I used it to shoot the snow in Prague earlier this month in my Contina (the first time that camera has been used in over a year), and the Ektar and the BW400CN are still in my camera bag waiting to be used.
