JHMD Steam Trip, Very Short Excerpt, Jihočeský kra…

This is a special sneak preview of my next NRHS show, and as such it's very much excerpted and low-resolution. The final show will be a roughly 70-minute video. In any case the cameraphone shots that I took on this day aren't too impressive, and I wanted something to mark the spot in my iPernity collection. This was a steam special on the JHMD, covering the usual summer steam route to Nova Bystrice (although only fragments are on this video). In the wintertime, the steam locomotives normally don't run. This locomotive is an ex-PKP (Polish Railways) Px48 (Some sources say Lxd2, I don't know which is right) Class 0-8-0, currently numbered #T48.001 (original works number 3073, original PKP #1916), built by Fabryka Lokomotyw im.F.Dzierzynskiego Chrzanow in 1953.

This locomotive, while also unknown to me, at least carries the number 21. Like the unknown green one, it doesn't appear to be operable.

This is a locomotive I know almost nothing about, other than that it's narrow-gauge and steam, and an 0-4-0T. It doesn't appear to have a number, which is part of the problem. Does anybody know anything more about it?

The museum also has a circle of narrow-gauge (the wider of the two gauges, if they indeed have more than one) track for running a tourist train for visitors. This locomotive appears to be a diesel-mechanical, but they had a few (inoperable) steam locomotives too.

These narrow-gauge tracks (in the foreground) appear a bit broader, so again I'd like to look them up. The freight cars on them are noticably bigger too, although the gondola in the background is standard gauge.

Here are some more narrow-gauge freight cars, again very-narrow-gauge, although again the exact gauge is now something that I know.

I'm not aware of what mine these mining carts were used in, but they're clearly narrow-gauge, possibly narrower than the other narrow-gauge exhibits at the museum. I wouldn't mind getting some information on the gauges of the display tracks at the museum, so I'm going to log onto the internet as soon as possible and find out.
