Just below the pedestrian bridge, as the street merges into steps, are these Corinthian columns, which I'm assuming were dug up somewhere during an archeological dig, and a petrified log, which I assume was found the same way.

Ceske Drahy have been handling an unusually large amount (at least to me) of log traffic through Cercany lately. The yard seems to be used as a loading or possibly marshalling facility, as most of the traffic seems to sit here for awhile without any locomotives on.

There is a limited amount of logging going on in Sumava, and so I found these felled trees and realised a great photo opportunity. I really like how these came out, and they may be my favorites from the Sumava trip.
