Here's the train interior of the Faxe Ladeplads-Koge train.

Here's another shot of my train. This service would only go as far as Koge, where I would once again have to take a seperate train to complete my journey, only this time TO Copenhagen.

DSB#----, Faxe Ladeplads Station, Fakse, Denmark,…

I never found out what kind of train this was, and I noted that it was operated by a different company from DSB. I would like to know if possible what kind of train this is and which company has that logo, which seems to be a ripoff of Amtrak's headless arrow logo.

Faxe Ladeplads Station, Picture 5 Edit, Fakse, Den…

Here's a view out on the station platforms. The platforms at Faxe Ladeplads are very low by European standards, and for some bizarre reason my photos there got tinted magenta, requiring adjustment in Gimp before I posted them to Flickr.

This is the train station that I ultimately had to take a bus to. Oddly, although the town where I stayed is called Fakse, spelled just like that, this station is called Faxe Ladeplads.

Abandoned (?) Quarry, Edit, Fakse, Denmark, 2007

22 Dec 2007 229
I wasn't able to figure out whether this quarry was still in use, as it seemsed unlikely that they would let it fill with water, but on the other hand I still saw some trucks around. In any case, I loved the view out over it.

Old World War II Bunker, Fakse, Denmark, 2007

22 Dec 2007 213
As I was walking around looking for the train station to leave Fakse (it's actually quite a ways from the village center, and you need to take a bus to the station), I found this old World War II bunker. It took me a minute to figure out what it really was, but there it was.

Church, Fakse, Denmark, 2007

I'm fairly certain that this is a church or former church, but I don't know the history of it at all.

Marketplace, Fakse, Denmark, 2007

I didn't really go to the sleepy little village of Fakse to sightsee, as I was desperate to find a hotel after my hotel in Copenhagen refused my reservation. I almost stayed in the autonomous community of Christiania (very nice people, by the way) on Saturday night, but instead I ended up staying there on Sunday night. On Saturday night, I ended up at a hotel here that I managed to reserve on the friendly Christianite's computer, THEN on Sunday I had to stay there.
