Our visit to Zurich concluded with a cruise on Lake Zurich on the Panta Rei, seen here docking. That cavitation from the bow appears to be from some sort of turbine or propeller that helps the boat steer, especially in a situation like this.

This is another shot of Slapy, this one taken from a road that runs through the mountains above it. This was taken while riding with a friend who is especially fond of this vantage point.

Here's an alternate shot of Lhota, from an area without a sand beach.

Lhota, like Slapy, is a fair-sized man-made lake, although to the best of my knowledge it's a reused quarry rather than a reservoir. Does anybody know if it's used as a reservoir???? I don't know. It is used as a swimming area, I know that much.

I took this from Amtrak's Adirondack, as we followed Lake Champlain, and when I found this photo amongst my collection, I was struck by how weird it looks. Therefore, I uploaded it to Flickr solely for artistic merit. I hope you like it. :-)
