The Rabies Babies at Cafe na pul cesty, Picture 2,…

I took a number of cameraphone photos at the Rabie Babies show, but only two of them were any good. This was because my Nokia 301 phone didn't have such a great camera, although to be fair in 2015 hardly anything did. Basically, this is the other photo.

The Rabies Babies at Cafe na pul cesty, Prague, CZ…

One of my friends made me aware of the Rabies Babies back when I was still on Facebook, so when I saw a show advertised, I was sure to go. My friend never showed up, I called her, and she didn't even know the show was happening. Any case, they were one of the best punk rock bands I've seen live, albeit more traditional than most of what I had been seeing in 2015. They still occassionally play out, but my understanding (from their Facebook page) is that family pressures have forced them into semi-retirement, however non-punk rock that may sound. I would certainly go to another show, if they're playing nearby and if I know about it.

Nine Eleven at Cafe na pul cesty, Pankrac, Prague,…

I had never heard of Nine Eleven before, but they're hardcore band from France. Their set was the craziest that I've ever been to at Cafe na pul cesty, so I expected to be sore the next day. In reality, that didn't happen, but I unfortunately didn't get too many pictures because of all the movement.

I ended up standing right in the front of the crowd for the Smashrooms set. I had met them two years earlier at Klub 007.

Actually, the guitarist for Sending Lights is the bass player for Foxxen.

Here's shot of them tuning up.

Sending Lights weren't originally scheduled to play on this particular night, and neither were the following band, Foxxen, who share the guitarist in the foreground (sorry if I've forgotten your name). Originally, The Smashrooms and Nine Eleven were supposed to play, but the night became a quadruple bill.

This photo is hopelessly blurred, but it captures the mood of the show.

This was one of the better shots that I got of Landverraad that night. The show was great, and one of the wilder ones I've been to, but I didn't have the best luck with photography.

Here's an alternate shot of Gattaca. I took most of these during the sound check, before the lights were lowered.

This was part of a triple bill that included Cacory, Gattaca, and Landverraad. This was Gattaca.

As We Were at Klub 007, Strahov, Prague, CZ, 2013

This was the second As We Were show that I went to, at the After Fluff show at Klub 007. This was where I got to meet them.

This was my second good shot. Again, I was running into the limitations of the cameraphone.

Between Earth and Sky at Klub 007, Edited Version,…

06 Nov 2013 136
Between Earth and Sky claim to play only infrequently, being more social and political activists than a band. The frontman is Greg Bennick, perhaps best known for his charity work in Haiti. They're promoting a video of this show here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2R1-8afJws As an aside, if this photo looks exaggerated in its contrast, its because I did an extreme edit to compensate for my cameraphone overexposing Greg's face.

New Hate Rising at Cafe na pul Cesty, Pankrac, Pra…

This band were called "New Hate Rising," but they were actually anti-fascist, or at least had all the usual GNWP stickers and so on.
