Roztocky Zamek is in Roztoky U Prahy, 3 kilometers north of the Prague city line, and actually, it's more of a chataeu, as zamek does indeed mean chataeu in Czech. Most non-Czech tourists don't know about it, though, as it's out of the way compared to Prazky Hrad, Spilberk, and Krumlovsky Zamek, and it's smaller and less historically significant than Karlstejn. It was built in 1233, and the museum does in fact have a copy of the original deed. Like many such buildings, additions continued being added to the complex until the late 18th Century. A gradual restoration was done in 1955-1972, and another, less-extensive one was done in 2002. It originally had a moat, which you can just barely see the remains of here, and there are some old photos in the museum of when it was still full.

I took this on October 12th, right after getting off train #Os9608 (I think). It's pulling away in this picture, rather than into the station. You just can't tell because the markers aren't lit, although note that it's running on the right. This EMU, CD#452 013-6, also works the locals to Benesov, and I've ridden on it many, many times.

I took this for the Fall colors (it was October). I was wandering around Roztoky U Prahy, not having much luck, when I conceived this street scene. I hope it's not too bad. :-)

I took this the same day as the Jungmannova one, for the same reasons. Rather than getting the street this time, though, I zoomed in on the maple tree (if it's not a maple tree, please let me know :-)).

This station must have been repainted just before I first arrived there. It looks really, really nice, so I figured I should take a photo, especially since at the time of day I'm usually there, I get this awesome light on it.
