This is a shot that I got from U Jeleni, which is a pub up near Prazky Hrad, although it's actually next to the Husinecka tram stop, hence this shot of a Tatra T3 out the window.

This is the view out the window of the station bar in Nadrazi Kladno. I just shot this because I liked how it looked.

All of Praha Hlavni Nadrazi's ticket booths used to look like this, with the exception of the long lines of people being harrassed by bums that smelled so bad you could smell them a long time before you could see them. In the past year, the rebuilding of Hlavni Nadrazi has progressed enough so that now none of these are still in use. Instead, a complete German-style travel centre has been set up in the basement, along with still more retail shops to go along with all of the retailers and restaurants on the first and second levels.

This was one of the side windows. This T3 was a T3M, so it had those horrible cloth seats that soak up filth.

Ceske Drahy inherited a fleet of Russian bi-level coaches from Ceskoslovenske Drahy, and these are still in service, if old (see my picture of Tynec yard). They're cramped, dirty, somewhat rundown, and very hot in the summer, though, so they're far from ideal, even if the view from the upper deck is cool. Ceske Drahy must have been thinking of this, as well as the better passenger capacity in proportion to tare, when they ordered their fleet of bi-level EMUs, Classes 471 and 971, from a consortium of CKD and Skoda in the late 1990s. The oldest of these is already 10 years old, but surprisingly, they've been kept up enough so that they still seem relatively new. The upper deck is the best part, though. :-) I took this on the way to Karlstejn.

Okay, you saw the cooties, and now...a marble. Is there any point to this photo? Not really.
