Arequipa is the second most important city of Peru. Located 600 miles south to LIma at the Sierra it is 2500 meters over sea level and has a beautiful weather Is named the WHITE CITY because the downtown mansions (PIP), Churchs as Yanahuara church (with an amazing facade) (PIP) an even its cathedral (PIP) are made with a special white stone called SILLAR. One of its attraction are the volcanos that surround the city Misti whith its triangular shape is the most important (PIP) , citizens from Arequipa are called "mistianos" Chachani (in main picture) is for me the beautiest and PIchu Pichu (PIP) is the small brother Is amazing to be in a city in wich every tine you elevate your sight , you see a volcano with snow at its top Arequipa has tons of attractions for tourists If you visit Peru, you must visit Arequipa HFF

Santa CAtalina Monastery is one of the architectonic jewels of Arequipa (600 miles south of Lima), builded nearly 400 years ago You may find in its walls this red and blue colors that gives a very special mood This picture is a two shots combination of different places at the monastery. As in all the mansions of Arequipa´s Downtown, there is always a backyard after the entrance with stone made floor and always a central stone fountain. Many of these are now hotels. This backyard is from San Agustin Hotel at Santa Catalina street, Pano of two pictures with canon G15, red dominant shot. Arequipa is always sunny and is difficult tokeep details in highlights and in shadows,must have to shot in raw format and edit with adobe camera raw or blend exposures.
