I made this "Crown of Thorns" years ago! from a tree that I transplanted from my late Grandmother's yard when she passed away. it was some sort of lemon tree, it bore small and really hard little lemons, that we actually could not use, for the bitterness and hard texture. But I watched it grow, and cherished it....As it grew, these long piercing thorns became evident, and they looked sooo much like the long thorns I had seen in photos of that "Crown of Thorns" at Christ's Crucifiction, . I felt that I needed / wanted to see if I could bend and shape 2 - 3 limbs into this crown. this is the result and have had it safely stored since my children were young kids.. It stays the same, has not deteriorated, and that is amazing to me....! Ive shown this to my Pastor, his reaction was one word,: WOW !

In our area, and across Georgia, these lighted Crosses are being placed in yards and businesses etc, with the reason being for folks to have Faith during this tough time.!! This one is ours, taken just after dark, one shot over is same cross in daylight...and on the daylight view, you will see the " Crown of Thorns".... I placed it on OUR cross over the Easter week / weekend, during the day light hours and removed it at night when we turned on the lights. ( Our oldest son built this cross for us, as he was building his own )
