OK, mid October but the summer did drag on and on that year (2011)! A small pine tree of some sort in the foreground and a holm oak (encina) seemingly growing out of the rocks.

In splendid isolation (although in fact it is on a road and only a mile from the nearest town - La Cabrera!). A cold December day and the oak leaves are hanging on, as they do! Sierra se La Cabrera, Convento Monasterio de San Julian y San Antonio. From the left the three main peaks are Cancho Largo, Cancho Gordo and Cancho de La Bola.
