The sun is starting to come out and it became a glorious day. Half an hour before, as can be seen in these shots (these three were taken within an hour of each other), the weather was awful and the sea was rough.

The ponies keep the coast path pleasingly downy underfoot!

In hindsight, possibly not the greatest place to stand and take this shot! Treaga Hill, Ralph's Cupboard, Cornwall

The beach is inaccessible except by boat. Even so I have never seen anyone sunbathing or swimming here.

Whether it's a Shetland pony as all the notices say, or not, has been discussed at length on Panoramio. I still don't know!. I can't get local people to confirm either. People say it is too big to be a Shetland. I should put this question on Rene's new group! Perhaps I will!

Even the out of bounds and long decommissioned nuclear research station of Nancekuke seen on the horizon at far right can't much detract from the scene.

Ahhh! That's better!!!

Shetland pony on Treaga Hill, Portreath, Cornwall. A question for the new group, Ask an Expert. I have been informed that this pony is a Shetland pony. All the signs around here say so. BUT many members of, first Panoramio and now ipernity, question this. Can someone say for sure what breed of pony this is! Thank you!
