Apricot tree laden with ripe fruit. Better on large to see the fruit more clearly. It has a wonderful warm colour, unlike the uniformly yellow, hairy to the tongue and sharp ones we see here and in the UK in the shops (although to be fair those ones do make the most perfect of all jams, imho!).

My sister and brother-in-law's garden. Apparently this small tree was so overladen with fruit last week that they had to shore up all the branches. And the tree was only planted last year! The fruit is utterly delicious and a million light years away from the sour and hairy things we see in England most of the time! Also, it fruits in May and June, the normal fruiting and harvest time. Being brought up with harvests expected in September and October it is sort of counter-intuitive. For example, I would normally about now begin to pick asparagus from my garden in Harrow but the season here finished some time ago. On the skyline; La Sierra de La Cabrera. Best on full screen.
