La Sierra de La Cabrera.

It's been well over a year since I last walked here and I do miss it.

Sierra de La Cabrera and the Lozoya Valley

On Cancho de La Bola, looking across to Pico de La Miel which looks much closer that it actually is. Sierra de La Cabrera granite country.

Sierra de La Cabrera. A hot spring day, the sun high in the sky and despite the fact that snow is still to be seen, the conditions are right for these wild tulips to 'strut their stuff'!

Sierra de La Cabrera. Cantueso means the countryside when the wild lavender is in full bloom.

Recently a gatepost but perhaps a menhir in ancient times? The jury is still out on the question.

The Convento Monasterio de San Julien y San Antonio is partly hidden in the trees. La Sierra de La Cabrera with Pico de La Miel prominent at the eastern end of the sierra. One for Pam, not of Cornwall for a change!

As mushrooms go, even rocky ones, it really is quite a size! Sierra de La Cabrera, Sierra de Guadarrama, Madrid Province, www.ipernity.com/doc/2247598/46707160 I have been so far behind that I didn't realise last Sunday's TSC was rocks, boulders, etc. Right up my street; not that I've ever joined in the fun but this one will do, albeit a week late!

More granite. 'Nuff said!

A good time to walk in the mountains here; pleasant temperatures and mellow colours.
