A glimpse into Terminal 2F at Charles de Gaulle Airport. The concept is retro and weird as the waiting areas at the gates are usually super crowded. However, the Air France Lounge is pretty cool so better stay there if you are eligible for access and go to gate just in time for boarding.

A ground staff member at Oslo Airport fills a barrier cone with road salt from a container. The surface at the gate was so icy that the pushback for the aircraft I was travelling on to Amsterdam was only possible after salt had been spread.

N26909 (UA809 from ORD) is in front of the gate. Presumption: The docking guidance system was not yet activated. I have experienced this myself several times on arrivals in AMS (coincidentally also on 08.08.), that the aircraft is standing shortly before the gate and then still has to wait for the activation. In the background, N78001 (UA20 from IAH) taxis to the gate.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Looks like the aircraft is ready to go to Aarhus after pushback. Due to some kind of electrical malfunction that could not be fixed on the spot the aircraft had to be taken out of service. A replacement aircraft reached Aarhus with a delay of 2:55 hours.
