These signposts were put up (1896-1898) after a tragedy where people died during a snowstorm. These signposts are along the old road between Kautokeino and Alta in Finnmark, northern Norway. They are now considered as national heritage. Dramatic sky and weather in summer and winter are prominent on the tundra. Back to my 'roots'. This is one of my earlier uploads to Panoramio. I was just beginning with this photosite and I was trying out hdr editing as well. This time it is an image that never became popular on Panoramio. But it fits nicely together with my first upload on Ipernity. Only this is a view of the newer part of Tromsø center.
