RHH's photos with the keyword: epilobium

Known elsewhere as Rosebay Willowherb, this was one of the few wildflowers I found still blooming along the Chain Lakes trail and this was the only one of the many Fireweed plants that still had flowers.

This was one of the new (for us) wildflowers we saw in Olympic National Park this past summer, Epilobium luteum, the Yellow Fireweed, though these were so pale that they could hardly be called "yellow." We found these along the Hurricane Ridge Road in the northern part of the park. It was quite a windy and dull afternoon which made flower photography very difficult.
