Big Red is on the south pier at Holland State Park in Michigan. We were in Michigan visiting family and went out one evening to the state park where our son and daughter-in-law were camping.

This is the north breakwater at Holland State Park in Michigan at sunset. The water in the great lakes is very high and while it used to be possible to walk out to the end of the breakwater or the pier on the other side of the channel, it is too dangerous at present.

We are in Michigan visiting family and last week my youngest brother, a friend and I went out for the evening to Ludington State Park and the Big Sable Lighthouse there. We went to photograph the lighthouse and the sunset and ended up photographing a storm that moved across the lake to the north of the lighthouse as well as the sunset. From there we went to Little Sable and photographed that lighthouse and the Milky Way there and did not get home until 3:00 am.

This was taken near the Big Sable lighthouse on the shore of Lake Michigan. I was there with my youngest brother and friend to photograph the sunset and to do some astral photography.

This was Lake Michigan and the beach there when my youngest brother, a friend and I hiked out to Big Sable Lighthouse to photograph ythe lighthouse and the sunset there.

These were the waves on the breakwater at Big Sable Point in Ludington State Park in Michigan when I was there recently with my younger brother and friend. The water in Lake Michigan is very high and the beaches are being washed away and since the water is now so near the Big Sable lighthouse a breakwater is a necessity.
