This was Lake Louise in Banff National Park in Alberta in 2014. We were there on a trip through the Canadian Rockies and hiked to the other side of the lake from the chateau.

In the summer of 2014 we traveled through the Canadian Rockies and visited Lake Louise. We made sure we arrived at Lake Louise early in the morning and found a place to park before walking to the back of the lake. By the time we came back the place was overflowing with cars and people and were only to happy to drive on through Banff and into Jasper and Robson. Until now I'd not gotten around to posting photos from that trip.

This photo is from a 2014 trip through Banff and Jasper National Parks. I've not had opportunity before to post photos from that trip, but early one morning we visited Lake Louise (before rush hour) and walked to the back of the lake.

After leaving the town of Banff on our way through British Columbia and Alberta, we stopped at Lake Louise where the weather was just starting to clear. Too busy in the summer, there were few people there this time of the year.

While at Lake Louise in Banff National Park we discovered that they have dogsled tours and watching them getting the sleds ready for a tour.

When we left the town of Banff on our winter journey through the Canadian National Parks it was overcast and gray but by the time we reached Lake Louise it had started to clear. These are some of the peaks surrounding the lake.

Lake Louise was completely frozen over when we stopped there in March and the area near the chateau was cleared for skating and hockey. I'll post summer photos of Lake Louise tomorrow.
