Taken at the top of Electric Pass in the Colorado Rockies when hiking there last summer with a grandson. And now we are home again after another trip to the other side of the state. We were gone four days to visit family and friends there and came home last night. We drove through the night to catch a window in the weather in the mountain passes.

These tiny wildflowers - they are only a few inches tall - were photographed on the prairie near Fishtrap Lake in eastern Washington. They were a new wildflower for us and are in fact uncommon.

These flowers are often called Bluebells but are in fact very different from the bulbous spring-flowering woodland plant that more often goes by that name.

We found these Trumpet Lungwort, a new wildflower for us, on the prairies near Fishtrap Lake in eastern Washington.
