This is a small gorge along Avalanche Creek, photographed while hiking along the creek to Avalanche Lake, a beautiful alpine lake in Glacier National Park, Montana.

The photo is from one of our hikes in Glacier National Park. Avalanche Lake is on the west side of the park.

Avalanche Creek flows out of Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park and at one point flows through this narrow cut in the rocks. We hiked to the lake and took this photo along the way when we were near Glacier on a family holiday.
