This is Shafer Canyon overlook in the Island of the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park. The road in the picture winds down into the canyon but a four-wheel drive vehicle is required.

This was one of our first stops in Canyonlands National Park, Island in the Sky District, when we were there recently. We had driven through the night and spent the rest of day in this part of Canyonlands before finding a campsite outside the park for the night.
