Last year in February and early March, just before the covid crisis hit, we went to Texas, New Mexico and Arizona for a few weeks. We spent a few hours at the end of a day in the course of our travels at White Sands National Park in New Mexico. These gypsum dunes are the worlds largest and an amazing place. We hiked the dunes and watched the sunset before spending the night in Alamogordo, New Mexico, traveling on the next day to Grand Canyon.

The gypsum dunes and sand flats of White Sands National Park are an amazing place. We spent a few hours there on the way to Grand Canyon when we were in the southwest last winter.

These are the gypsum sand dunes of White Sands National Park in New Mexico. We spent an afternoon and evening there last winter before traveling on to Grand Canyon.
