RHH's photos with the keyword: machinery

Different groups of animals are described by "terms of venery," which are collective nouns, many of them very old. Some of the terms are very familiar, such as "school of fish," or "colony of ants," or "pride of lions." Others are unknown such as "murder of crows," "exaltation of larks," or "skulk of foxes." Since we have such words for animals, why not for other things as well, such as combines?

In Explore May 1, 2012, #53. Another picture from our recent trip to the Skagit Valley to see the tulip fields in bloom.
